Sure-Grip Inline Rental Skates

Sure-Grip has a new inline rental skate that is pretty interesting for a couple of reasons.

The skate sizes are adjustable, so that gives you some added flexibility in case you start to run out of one particular size.  One way to do this would be to adjust the skates so that you have a few pair in each specific size ready to go.  But if you start to run out of one particular size, you could take a size you’re not low on and convert it over to the size you’re about to need.

The skates are lower priced than other rentals.  The skates are so inexpensive; Sure-Grip isn’t bringing in replacement parts for the skates.  So you’ll buy the skates, use them until they start to wear out, and just replace them with new skates.  So you’ll have a lower cost, you won’t have to do maintenance, but the skates won’t last as long as traditional rentals.

Finally, the skates are available in smaller sizes than previous inline rentals.  Here are the size ranges for the skates:

Small fits 12J, 13J, 1, 2
Medium fits 2, 3, 4, 5
Large fits 5, 6, 7, 8

Sure-Grip also has a new lace.  The laces have the Sure-Grip name printed on them in raised letters.  Since the letters are raised they will help keep the laces from slipping and loosening.  So they’re somewhat similar to a waxed lace in that they’re designed to stay tight better than a traditional lace.  They’re 81” long, they come in black or white.

Always skate smart. Use appropriate protective gear. If you're not an experienced skater then learn to skate indoors at a roller skating rink. It's a flat and smooth surface with no traffic to deal with. We strongly encourage you to take lessons (most skating rinks offer them).
