Our annual tradeshow will be October 4 and 5, here at our Roanoke, VA warehouse. We’ve mentioned this in previous newsletters, but we want to follow up now with details about an exciting addition. Monday night, after the free dinner, the local RSA Section is hosting a meeting. The meeting is for everyone, not just RSA members. They’ll have workshops from several rink operators and some time for networking with other rink operators.
In addition to this, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll also be hosting a presentation about a new marketing campaign to promote the skating industry. This is something that several of us have been working on for quite a while (over two years now). We’re partnering with Sure-Grip, Roller Derby, the RSA, and USA Roller Sports to kick start this campaign. The marketing firm we’ve hired will be here to explain what we’re doing and to help encourage each of you to join us.
We think this is a great opportunity for the world of skating. We’ve got a great product, we just need to focus some attention on all that skating offers. Hopefully this campaign kick off will encourage each of you to join us on the campaign.
Our website has some basic info about our tradeshow as well as a sneak peak of an article about the marketing campaign that will also appear in the next issue of Roller Skating Business magazine. Take a moment to look it all over at www.seskate.com/tradeshow. If you’ve ever thought about attending one of our tradeshows, this is the year.
Sure-Grip’s new double action 45 degree trucks are real hot right now. We had originally priced these wrong and are going to have to adjust our pricing immediately. They are nicer trucks than the standard Invader trucks, and the correct price reflects that. We had been out of stock on these trucks, but they’re now back in stock in the 7mm and 8mm sizes. Note: Sure-Grip is hinting that the prices on this might change again soon, but this is what they’re doing right now; when we hear more we’ll let you know.

We are wholesale only and are not allowed to sell to skaters or to quote prices. For info on purchasing skates please look in your phone book under "skating rink" or click here.
Always skate smart. Use appropriate protective gear. If you're not an experienced skater then learn to skate indoors at a roller skating rink. It's a flat and smooth surface with no traffic to deal with. We strongly encourage you to take lessons (most skating rinks offer them).
