
Trout Pond Park (Muncy, PA) is going up for a Sheriff's Sale due to economic conditions on July 11, 2008. We always hate to hear of a skating rink that is closing, and this is certainly not an exception. Here is part of the email they sent out. . .
Please put a news article in the paper that Trout Pond Family Fun Center is going up for Sherriff Sale due to economic conditions on Friday, July 11th at the Executive Building Commissioner's Conference Room at 10:30am (570-327-2280.) Anyone interested in saving the "Pond" should attend. The park will remain open until the end of July from 11am until 8pm...closed Monday's. The NARSA Skating Competition will continue on as planned from July 14-16th from 7am - 4pm with a banquet being held Wednesday evening at the Watsontown Inn. Tickets for the banquet will be on Sale for Monday the 14th only! We're having a 25% Sale off all products in stock in the Pro Shop and Stuff Shop of the Roller Rink and Arcade Building during the month of July while supplies last. A moving sale of household goods and any restaurant paper products and non perishables will be scheduled for the week of July 21st until the 25th as the Ginther's will be leaving the property.

Always skate smart. Use appropriate protective gear. If you're not an experienced skater then learn to skate indoors at a roller skating rink. It's a flat and smooth surface with no traffic to deal with. Take lessons.
