We just got back from the RSA Convention in Las Vegas, here are some notes that we took on the different skates that we saw.  Most of this is preliminary, we don’t have pricing, we don’t have firm dates or all of the details.  But we did want to let you know what to expect as we get ready for the fall season.

We’re including pictures for some of the items.  They're not great, but hopefully they'll be helpful.

Sure-Grip is making a new thinner version of the Fugitive in yellow, light blue, and purple.  These are designed mainly for the derby skaters.

Sure-Grip also showed their Qube bearings.  The packaging on these looks great, they got a lot of positive feedback, they should be in stock any day.

Vanilla showed off the new Vanilla Junior quad skate package and a couple of new inline race skates.  He is supposed to be sending us pics of these, we will add them as soon as possible. 

Roller Derby showed several new quad speed wheels including one that will be priced to compete with the real high end products. 

They showed a new quad boot aimed at the derby market.

The item that really garnered a lot of attention was definitely the return of the Pro Line.  This was the top high end quad plate for a long time, but then they became very hard to get.  Labeda had problems making them and that led to constant shortages.  They eventually stopped production altogether.  The new version looks like the original, and they assure us that the parts are interchangeable.  If you remember this plate, you’ll be excited to hear that it is returning.

Always skate smart. Use appropriate protective gear. If you're not an experienced skater then learn to skate indoors at a roller skating rink. It's a flat and smooth surface with no traffic to deal with. Take lessons.
